Dedicated to London
On July the 7th 2005 it was London's turn, once again, to suffer at the hands of terrorists.
Many innocent people lost their lives or were injured. And my prayers went out to them and their families at that difficult time.
I gave thanks to all those people involved in helping to overcome the London bombings. A very difficult situation was handled efficiently and effectively.
Those people directly involved as employees of London transport and the emergency services gave fantastic service. And so too did so many other people who were caught up in this problem.
Thank goodness that our emergency services have planned and rehearsed dealing with this type of situation. And thank goodness for human nature - the willingness of ordinary people to get involved and help strangers in difficulty.
It was an outstanding example of customer service. But one that I hope will never need to be repeated.
